About Edwinfred Kamau

I'm Edwinfred Kamau. I build software and AI agents, and I run a company called Lobster Technologies.

Here's the thing I figured out early: the software I loved building was the exact software real businesses were desperate for. So I went looking for the businesses.

And I learned something there. You can't build a great system from behind a screen. You have to go see the work.

The best part of the job isn't the code. It's the people.

So that's how I work. I show up. I sit with the people I'm building for. I watch how their day actually goes. We figure out together where the hours are disappearing — the manual stuff, the repetitive stuff, the stuff that's easy to get wrong.

Then I build the thing that makes it disappear. Enterprise software and AI agents that quietly do the heavy lifting. And I don't vanish after launch — I stick around, because a tool is only good if it keeps being good.

That's what Lobster Technologies is for. Not shipping features for the sake of it. Giving a business owner their time and attention back — so the work only they can do is the work they actually get to spend their day on.

What I do

What I do

Most software is built by people who've never watched the business it's for. I build the opposite.

  1. Enterprise systems · Business management, POS, ERP

Run your whole operation from one place.

Stock, sales, staff, suppliers, reporting — the moving parts of your business, connected and working together instead of living in separate notebooks, spreadsheets, and someone's memory. One system that shows you what's actually happening, in real time.

  2. AI agents · Workflow automation

Hand the repetitive work to an agent that doesn't tire.

The follow-ups, the data entry, the checks and reconciliations, the questions customers ask a hundred times a day — I build AI agents that handle the manual, repeating work reliably, so your team spends its hours on the things that actually need a person.

  3. Custom development · Built on-site

Software that fits your business — not the other way around.

I don't start with a template. I sit with you, learn how your business genuinely runs, and build to that. The result is software your team adopts because it matches the way they already think — not another tool they have to fight.

  4. Lobster Technologies · SaaS — coming soon

And a few products of my own, on the way.

Ready-to-use SaaS tools built from everything I've learned solving these problems one business at a time — coming to market soon.

Work

Here's what I've built — and what it changed.

Wendo Coffee & Bistro

A restaurant management system running the floor, the kitchen, and the books across every branch — as one.

Wendo RMS — taking an order on the floor

Before Two branches in Nyeri, run entirely on paper. Waiters hand-wrote every order and walked it to the kitchen and the barista station across the room. Nobody could tell if a dish was being made or sitting forgotten. Stock was counted by hand, both branches were managed from memory, and the business collected almost no data on itself.

Built One system, live on every phone and tablet. A waiter takes an order and it splits itself — food to the kitchen screen, drinks to the barista — in real time. Staff clock in by GPS, managers watch their branch live, and the director sees everything from anywhere. Payments, credit accounts, HR, reporting — one platform, built to go from two branches to ten without a rebuild.

After Orders hit the stations the moment they're taken, and the paper walk is gone for good. The floor and the kitchen finally move in sync, and the director runs both Nyeri branches — Kingz and Town — from a phone instead of a guess. Now eight build phases deep and still live. [CONFIRM a hard metric — avg prep time, orders/day, or onboarding time.]

Washan Groceries

A mobile-first system that puts a two-location grocery wholesaler — clients, credit, stock, and cash — in the owner's pocket.

Washan Groceries — the owner's dashboard

Before Washan ran the whole business from memory, WhatsApp, and paper. Per-client prices for hotels, hospitals and clubs lived only in her head. Outstanding credit, stock at each location, whether the business was even profitable — none of it was visible the moment she stepped away from a counter. She wasn't running the system. She was the system.

Built One mobile system shaped around how she already works. Staff log sales and spoilage in a few taps; each corporate client's negotiated price applies itself; credit becomes a running ledger per client; invoices generate as clean, branded PDFs ready to send on WhatsApp. The owner sees stock, receivables, and the day's takings across both locations — from her phone, from anywhere.

After The business runs on a system now, not memory — Washan can see all of it from her phone. Stock at both locations, every shilling of client credit, the day's money by channel, professional invoices in seconds — all in her pocket. Built to white-label and deploy for the next trader.

And a handful of sites for businesses across Kenya and beyond.
